Head Spa is like a facial for your scalp. The idea of “Head Spa” comes from an ancient Japanese holistically guided technique of hair health beginning at your scalp. A Japanese Head Spa helps reset the scalp with a detoxifying and stimulating massage that provides stress relief, improves hair & scalp conditions & ultimately helps promote healthy hair growth.

I have designed my own Head Spa service to bring Head Spa to you, with the MAXIMUM benefit to your hair and scalp health using my experience, knowledge and research. With focus on hair and scalp treatment, I create a safe environment for your ULTIMATE reset and relaxation!

I have been using Malibu C products for over 5 years to detox the hair and scalp for manageability and color prep. I have tied their technology, products and science into my spa experiences to create the Havenly Head Spa.

How Will I Feel After a Head Spa Treatment?

Your hair and scalp will feel lighter and cooler, and like they can finally breathe!Your hair will be free from tangles, and prone to less frizz. Your air and blow drying time will be decreased and your shampoo will work more effectively at home. Your hair will feel smooth, hydrated and bouncy. It will be naturally shinier as the light can reflect off it naturally.Your hair will also be prepped for a more effective, longer lasting, less damaging coloring service.

What is a Hair and Scalp Detox?

During this 3-4 hour service your scalp and hair are cleansed of pollutants that are preventing your natural health, sheen and growth using a natural mechanical chelating treatment. Using magnetism, friction and heat, the treatment draws out build up from hard water metals, minerals, salt, chlorine natural oils and styling aids. Your hair is then treated to protect from further pollutants and you are provided the knowledge on how to maintain results at home. Dermascopic technology available to show you the before and after results of your hair and scalp up close.

Massage

I have extensive experience in facial massage to bring you 10+ minutes of facial and cranial massage using techniques that help with lymphatic and sinus drainage, facial sculpting and muscle tension relief from TMJ, teeth grinding and clenching. Book extra time if this sounds like something you need more of!

Waterfall Therapy

The waterfall feature is more than pretty picture! During your Head Spa service, you will have 10 minutes to experience the calming and meditative effects from the tranquility of the water. You will feel stress relief as the water hits the meridian of nerves on the hairline. A warm towel is provided for over your eyes for the sensory experience.

The Run Down

1. We consult about your current hair and scalp concerns, detangle if necessary

2. Look through Head Lab scope to see "before" images of your hair and scalp to see where we need to focus

3. We shampoo your hair in my luxury shampoo bowl 1-2 times using Malibu C Undo Goo clarifying shampoo to prep for your treatment.

4. You are brought back to the chair, where Malibu C Crystal Gel XL chelating treatment is applied throughout your hair and scalp in even sections

5. Your hair is then wrapped and exposed to heat using a Nano Steamer for more effective processing, up to 45 minutes depending on build up amount.

6. You are then brought back to the shampoo bowl for the remainder of the treatment. Ottoman and blanket are available for back support and added comfort.

7. Hair is scrubbed for mechanical removal of build up, this is where it is determined if further detox treatment is needed.

8. After proper removal is determined, your scalp is scrubbed and massaged for 10 minutes for maximum detox

9. After proper rinsing, lights are dimmed and Miracle Repair aromatherapy conditioning treatment is applied to the hair and scalp to replenish and protect the hair after detox with full detangling abilities

10. A warm towel is applied to your face to relax muscles and provide aromatherapy. It's followed with 10 minutes of facial and scalp massage for scalp stimulation, relaxation and tension relief.

11. Treatment is then rinsed and it is determined if your hair needs a second customized conditioner.

12. You then have 10 minutes in the Waterfall Therapy. A warm towel is added over your eyes for an enhanced sensory experience.

13. After you’re brought back to reality, we go back to the chair and apply products for air or blow dry styling.

14. We finish up by looking at your hair and scalp again to see the results that you already feel!
